MSN characters~

*Another Update*: Caty gave me some wonderful ideas so I applied them onto the new ones. She also told me their english names so now they are labeld next to each picture.

*UPDATE*: I went hardcore tonight and finished the last one. All done! The last one was a bit of a challenge since she likes casual wears and earthy colors. Anyway here it is along with the msn version. YAY SLEEP TIME.

Here is a new one for Caty's friend. I feel bad for delaying it this long. I told her I would get all her friends' pictures done like half an year ago (?). Yeah...but it's progressing very very slowly. I apologize for slacking off Orz...

Anyway, here they are, new and old ones:

Cindy

Dora

Connie

Caty

here are the MSN icon version:

Hope they like it...I went back and reworked some of the stuff that was meant to be fixed. Now they're more unified in style.

Pixar Class Final

and again, this is not close to finish at all. However, instructors just wanted to see the ideas being polished and the animation we could polish later on.

and ta da~ here it is...the final dish washing animation. So you probably wonder "it's not funny or anything...why did the teachers like it?" Well base on what my instructors said, the important thing here is that in the simplicity of it, there is an entertainment value from how it stays true to the real world.

Though I may not have achieve it entirely, but this animation suppose to make some people who wash enough dishes immediately know that feeling as they watch this 7 seconds short excercise. So instead of just feeling like watching another animation, some can really connect with it. That's putting animation onto another level. It's easy to just make a cartoony character jumping or waving hands around, but it's hard to really capture the emotion or the mental state that the character is in.

I think this piece of animation has just touch the edge of what the instructors want. But it's good enough for now, at least I'm going in the right direction...hopefully.

Last class in Pixar 1, AND THE SEMESTER ENDS!

Though you would probably think it's not a big deal, but to actually see pixar animators satisfied with your work is...phenemonal. I swear none of my past assignments were even close to what they want, but THIS.......YES!

I was holding back my grin as much as I could during class until I went home muwahahaha...ok but I was actually wearing a boxer...not underwear...just thought it's funnier.

Alright, so school is finally over for me, I'm going to make a demo reel and apply for Pixar 2. We'll see how it turns out. In the mean time, I seriously need to work on my thesis...sigh...
